Preparing for your first appointment

There’s no need to prepare extensively—just come as you are. Our goal is to understand your natural experiences, not for you to “perform” or prepare in a specific way.

Before your first appointment, it can be helpful to:

  • Complete any intake paperwork in advance.
  • Think about your current concerns and what you’re hoping to better understand.
  • Reflect on when these patterns may have started (childhood, school, work, relationships).
  • Bring any relevant past records if available (previous evaluations, diagnoses, or treatment history).

During the evaluation, you don’t need to have perfect answers. The process is designed to guide you and gather information in a structured, supportive way.

Payment and insurance information

Our services are private pay, which allows for a more thorough and individualized evaluation process without the limitations often imposed by insurance.

Payment is typically collected at the time of service. We accept standard forms of payment and will provide clear information about fees in advance so there are no surprises.

While we do not bill insurance directly, many clients are able to use out-of-network benefits. We can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
